Endorsements for Senate Candidate Gina Walsh Roll In
The International Association of Firefighters and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees have endorsed Walsh's campaign.
Gina Walsh has continued to wrack up endorsements in her campaign for the Senate seat of District 13.
Wednesday morning, the International Association of Firefighters, Local 2665 announced its endorsement of
“Firefighters have known Gina since she served as a local leader on the Riverview Fire Protection District for nine years as director; serving five years as chairperson,” Dennis J. Murray, President of Local 2665, said. “While serving the North St. Louis County community, Gina displayed leadership and an understanding of the complex public safety issues related to firefighting and emergency response, including upgrades and emergency response and fire planning within the district’s jurisdiction.”

Walsh has received endorsements from the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Council and outgoing incumbent Sen. Timothy Green.
Walsh previously served as a state representative for District 69 for eight years. She faces a challenge from fellow Democrat Redditt Hudson in the primary election.
