Daniel Boyle Announces Candidacy for Municipal Judge

One week before the city council special elections, former provisional judge and municipal judge candidate announces his intentions.

Although Wards 3 and 6 council candidates continue to push for their last votes for the Aug. 2 election, the November special election’s candidates have begun to fill out.

officially announced his candidacy for the position of municipal judge for .

“Florissant is where I am focused,” Boyle said in a media release. “It is where I live, have my office, and give back through community involvement.”

Previously, Boyle ran for the position in the April 2011 election against the late and was defeated.

In June, Judge Kelly passed away due to complications from his diabetes.

Boyle also served as the provisional judge for Florissant from August 2006 to April 2011.

“For the next judge of Florissant, the community deserves a public servant focused on Florissant, a judge who has invested in the community through service and commitment,” he said. “I would appreciate your vote on November 8, 2011, to be the next judge in the City of Florissant.”

Boyle currently works as an attorney with his father at in Old Town Florissant.

At this time, no other candidates have formally announced they will run for the position.
