Dan Boyle Sworn in as Florissant Municipal Court Judge

Attorney Dan Boyle follows in the path of late Judge Tim Kelly.

On Monday, Florissant officially received its new municipal court judge.

City Clerk Karen Goodwin swore in at the beginning of the Florissant City Council meeting Monday night in front of a full room.

Boyle defeated Judge Kevin Kelly during the Nov. 8 election, 1,820 votes to 1,743 votes, according to the official election results posted by St. Louis County Board of Elections.

Previously, Boyle ran against the during the April 5 election but lost. In June, Judge Tim Kelly died due to complications from diabetes. He was 63.

“It was a lot of hard work,” Boyle said following his win earlier this month. “I appreciate all of the efforts by the volunteers.”
