Council Approves Chipotle, $3,000 for Tower Court Park Improvements

Also, the council failed and postponed other bills.

Monday night, the Florissant City Council approved a bill that would allow Chipotle Mexican Grill to come into town as well as a $3,000 appropriation for gasoline for the sewer lateral program. The council didn’t approve everything or vote on everything during the meeting, though.

  • Bill 8853 failed due to lack of support on the bill. It would have allowed for a liquor store in a B-4 zoning district.
  • The council also failed to support Bill 8854, which would have rezoned 520 Brown St. from the Historic Residential District to the Historic Business District.

  • The council postponed the vote of Bill 8857, which would give a special use permit to Roll-a-Way Auto Sales. It has been postponed to the Sept. 24 meeting.
  • The council approved Bill 8858, which is a request to amend permitted and special permitted uses in the Historic Business District.
  • The council unanimously passed Bill E8859, which rescinds a previous ordinance for “Fleurissant park place” at 1475 Carla Drive.
  • The council postponed Bill 8861, which would authorize vacating the interest in certain easements that are dedicated to Maloney’s Manor One. It has been postponed to the council’s Oct. 8 meeting.
  • The council unanimously passed Bill 8861, which appropriates $3,000 for gas to the sewer lateral program.
  • The council unanimously approved Bill 8862, which takes more than $280,000 in grant funds as well as more than $287,000 from the Park Improvement Fund for improvements to .
