April 5 Election Filing Closes Today
All nomination forms and petitions must be submitted to respective offices by 5 p.m.
In the next couple of hours, will close its offices and along with it, the filing deadline for the April 5 municipal election will close. In addition, filing for the and school board elections will close, too.
With city hall and both school districts closed Monday for ’s holiday, a last-minute rush for today seemed a high possibility.
While City Clerk Karen Goodwin will not have all submissions prepared until Wednesday morning, here is where it stands for municipal elections as of Friday, Jan. 14:

As for the Hazelwood School District Board of Education, three seats expire in this year. Charles Woods, board director, Ann Gibbons, treasurer, and Diane Dowdy, board secretary all have to file for re-election to retain their seats.
Hazelwood School District Assistant Superintendent of Communications, Diana Gulotta confirmed that all three incumbents have filed. In the last hour of filing time, two St. Louis County residents, Brenda Youngblood of St. Louis and Nita Curry of Florissant, were also able to submit their petitions.
Ferguson-Florissant School District Communications Specialist Shantana Stewart said names will be released following the closing Tuesday.
