A North County woman faces criminal charges after she hit three parked cars, left without stopping and slapped a victim who followed her, police said.

Jeannine McFadden, 26, of the 2400 block of Rhapsody Lane in St. Louis County north of Florissant, was charged Feb. 28 with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and third-degree assault.

St. Louis County Police said McFadden was driving in the 1400 block of Urbandale Drive in North County and struck three parked cars while driving, causing at least $1,000 in damage.

Police said McFadden did not stop, but one of the other car owners followed her to the 2400 block of Rhapsody near McFadden’s home. When the man confronted her about the accident, she slapped his face, police said.

Officers arrived and noticed McFadden had a strong odor of alcohol and watery and bloodshot eyes. She did poorly on a sobriety test and refused a Breathalyzer test.
