Two Florissant Officers Receive Promotions

Florissant Police Chief Tim Lowery promoted Sergeant Jeff Peters to lieutenant, and Officer Ed Sharp reached the rank of sergeant.

Florissant police recently had a couple of officers move up the ranks.

Florissant Police Chief Tim Lowery promoted Sergeant Jeff Peters to lieutenant, and Officer Ed Sharp reached the rank of sergeant.

β€œI would just like to express my sincere congratulations to these two men. Β Both men have outstanding leadership qualities and professional skills that will contribute to the continued success of our award winning Police Department in keeping our citizens and their property safe. I have challenged them to share their enthusiasm, zeal and professional dedication with the entire department,” Mayor Tom Schneider said in a press release.

Lieutenant Dennis Cordia retired from the department, triggering the promotions, Florissant Police spokesman Andy Haarman said.

Officer Sharp has served with the department since 2001, and Sergeant Peters has served since 1981, Haarman said.
