Teen, Juvenile Caught Breaking Into Home With Resident Was Inside, Police Say

Florissant Police said the two tried to pry a screen off a window on a home on Stonebury Court.

A 17-year-old man and a juvenile were caught attempting to burglarize a home in the 1400 block of Stonebury Court in Florissant Friday morning.

Demonte Nettles, 17, of the 5500 block of Winchelsea Drive in Normandy, was charged Friday with first-degree attempted burglary.

Florissant Police said Nettles and the juvenile were caught prying a screen off a window in the home while the resident was home at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Nettles was identified as one of the two men, police said.

Nettles is being held in St. Louis County jail on a $5,000 bond.
