St. Louis County Police Respond to Report of Shooting

One man has been shot and transported to the hospital, while detectives continue to investigate outside of Florissant.

Update 3:25 p.m.

St. Louis County Police have responded to a report of a shooting outside of Florissant, near the intersection of Mehl and Netherton. 

KMOV first reported the story early Thursday afternoon.

According to St. Louis County Police Public Information Officer Rick Eckhard, the shooting occurred at 12:43 p.m. on Thursday.

Eckhard said that one person had been shot and transported to the hospital. A  press release from the St. Louis County Police Department said that he was in critical but stable condition and expected to survive.

Police have closed part of the road while the investigation continues at the scene. 

The press release said that two teens had been spotted running from the scene of the crime, and currently, two individuals have been spotted nearby the scene and are being questioned. 

Police have not made any arrests or booked anyone at this time, though.
