Spanish Lake Man Tried to Slash Man on New Year's Day, Police Say

The man was charged with second-degree assault and is being held in St. Louis County jail.

A Spanish Lake man faces a criminal charges for trying to slash another man on New Years Day in his home.

Michael Hamblin, 44, of the 125.00 block of James Patrick Lane was charged Wednesday with second-degree assault.

St. Louis County Police said Hamblin slashed a large knife toward another man’s midsection on Jan. 1, attempting to cut him.

Hamblin was being held in St. Louis County jail on Friday. Bail was set at $15,000.
