A St. Louis County police officer said he saw the woman drive up into a yard in North County to hit the man.

A North County woman drove her car up into the yard at 5:02 p.m. Sunday attempting to hit her boyfriend who was on a bicycle, St. Louis County Police said.

The woman, Latanya Paige, 33, of the 10400 block of Count Drive in the Castle Point area in North County, was charged Monday with first-degree domestic assault.

An officer who witnessed the incident said the man avoided being hit by jumping off the bicycle and running. The woman hit the bicycle and started driving away, the St. Louis County police officer said.

The officer stopped the woman, who yelled at her boyfriend, “I’m gonna get ya next time,” according to the police report.

Paige is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $25,000.
