Police: North County Man Hits Wife With Handgun, Shoots Out Her Tires

A North County man is accused of pistol-whipping his wife and shooting her vehicle tires.

Dominic A. Richardson, 27, of the 6600 block of Cottingham Lane in North County east of Black Jack, was charged April 28 with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.

St. Louis County Police said Richardson struck his wife in the head twice with a gun, while threatening to kill her at their home April 27. Police said he threatened to kill her while pointing the handgun at her face.

Richardson is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $75,000.
