Police: Duo Stole 11 Cars At Lou Fusz Dealership, Part of a Larger Car Burglary Scheme

At least 10 people were involved in two car dealership thefts on Oct. 11, as police say the group also stole eight cars from Johnny Londoff Chevrolet.

Two people accused of stealing eight cars from Johnny Londoff Chevrolet also were charged with stealing 11 cars from Lou Fusz Buick GMC Oct. 11, police said.

Deangelo Latimore, 21, of the 2100 block of Stansbury in St. Louis, and Chelsea Ashcraft, 20, each were charged with second-degree burglary, 11 counts of stealing a motor vehicle and felony stealing.

Court documents state that Latimore and Ashcraft acted with Marlen Waller, Trevonn Hunter and Derell Howell to burglarize the dealership at the intersection of Page and Lindbergh boulevards and steal the cars.

Officer Randy Vaughn, a spokesman for St. Louis County Police, said four other suspects in the dealership thefts have been identified by police but have not yet been arrested.

Vaughn said one of the cars stolen from the Lou Fusz dealership was recovered at Johnny Londoff Chevrolet.

All 11 cars stolen from the West County dealership have been recovered. Eight cars were found in the city of St. Louis and three vehicles were recovered in St. Louis County.

Latimore is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Ashcraft posted 10 percent of a $15,000 bond and was released from jail. Judge Lawrence J. Permuter stipulated that she must have no contact with her co-defendants and may not go to any car dealerships.
