Police Blotter: March 19 Proved a Busy Day for Florissant Police

Several car thefts and burglaries line this week's blotter.

March 19

A thief stole a red 2003 Jeep Liberty in the 2200 block of Lindsay Lane.

A thief stole a silver in color 2001 Dodge Intrepid.

Police recovered a 1996 Dodge Stratus in the 1800 block of North New Florissant Rd. The car had been reported stolen in Ferguson earlier this month.

A first-degree burglary occurred in the 600 block of St. Pierre. The resident awoke and heard someone trying to break into the residence. The police have identified a suspect and is wanted by the police.

An auto accident occurred on Interstate 270 near the Washington/Elizabeth exit that killed a 47-year old mean. According to the police report, the driver’s motorcycle broke down, and a car struck him before he could remove it from the traffic lanes.

March 21

A second-degree burglary occurred in the 100 block of St. Pierre when copper was stolen from a vacant residence.

Police responded to a first-degree burglary in the 100 block of La Venta. A man entered the residence through an unlocked door while the resident was home, and he stole a laptop and iPod.

March 23

An incident of felony stealing occurred in the 200 block of Dunn Road. Someone stole two commercial air conditioning units from a business overnight.

March 24

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 2700 block of Blue Heron. The burglar entered through a window and stole jewelry and cameras.
