Pizza Delivery Driver Found Slain in Dellwood; Three Pizzas, Cell Phone Taken

St. Louis County Police have a suspect in custody. They said robbery is the apparent motive for the killing.

A pizza delivery driver was found Monday evening, slumped at the wheel of his car in the 1600 block of Mowbry Lane in Dellwood. He had been fatally shot underneath his left arm, St. Louis County Police said.

Police said three pizzas and a cell phone were stolen.

The victim, Brian Johnson, 39, of the 12800 block of Meadowdale in SpanishΒ  Lake, was a delivery driver for Imo’s Pizza at 2162 Chambers Road in North County.

Police have taken a suspect into custody for questioning, and said the motive for the killing appears to be robbery. Johnson was delivering pizza to a home in the 1600 block of Mowbry Lane.
