North County Teens Charged in St. Charles West High School Fight

St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's office filed misdemeanor charges against four people, three of them from North St. Louis County, for the teenagers' role in a Feb. 8 fight at St. Charles West High School.

Four teenagers, three of which are from North St. Louis County, were charged with misdemeanor trespassing and peace disturbance following a Feb. 8 fight at St. Charles West High School.

Those charged include:

According to a release, Dyer, a student at St. Charles West High School, propped a door in the small gym of the school along with another student who is a juvenile. Tillman, Holman and Applewhite, none of whom are students in the district, entered the building and then were involved in a brawl with students from St. Charles West High School.

The three students not from St. Charles are reportedly from the Ferguson-Florissant School District.

The fight started on social media, Marion said. A student from St. Charles West and a student from the Ferguson-Florissant School District kept talking about whom could beat up whom, he said.

Misdemeanor charges carry a maximum punishment of one year in jail and a fine of $1,000. The defendants were issued a summons to appear in St. Charles County circuit court on April 10.

The St. Charles School District suspended 11 students from the school district for their involvement in the fight.
