North County Man Busted for Spanish Lake Burglary

St. Louis County Police said Jerel Minor and others broke into the home on Lakeheights Drive Jan. 29.

A North County man faces criminal charged related to a Jan. 29 break-in at a home in Spanish Lake.

Jerel D. Minor Jr, 20, of the 11800 block of Sheffield Drive in unincorporated St. Louis County east of Black Jack, was charged Feb. 11 with second-degree burglary and felony stealing.

St. Louis County Police said Minor and others kicked in the front door of a home in the 1900 block of Lakeheights Drive and stole a flat-screen television, a laptop computer, an iPad, a video game system and 10 games.

A witness identified Minor, police said.

Minor was arrested on a warrant Feb. 14. He posted $750 as 10 percent of a $7,500 bond and was released from jail Feb. 16.
