Neighbors Spot Man Carrying TV and Laptop, Leads to Arrest of Suspect

Florissant Police responding to a call for suspicious people in the neighborhood make arrest for burglary in 200 block of Boone Street.

Witnesses spotted a Florissant man carrying a television and laptop from a home on Boone Street toward his residence on Monday, Florissant Police said.

Deon B. Green, 17, of the 500 block of Christina Lane in Florissant, was charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing.

Florissant Police said Green entered the home and took a flat-screen television and a Toshiba laptop. Police responded to a call for suspicious men in the neighborhood and arrested Green for the burglary soon afterward.

Green was being held in St. Louis County jail Friday. Bail was set at $7,500.

Watchful neighbors are a great help tio our community and police. It's a shame things have come to the state where you can't leave home without getting ripped off. It happened to us. What a sad world our children & grandchildren are growwing up in. Get tough on crooks & maybe things will change. Like make themwork to repay people who they've harmed. The old days were better in so many ways.
