Man Helped Steal $5,000 in Electronics in Burglary, Police Say

The burglary, which included others, was between 8:30 p.m. Jan. 4 and 12:30 a.m. Jan. 5 in the 400 block of Countryside Drive, according to Florissant Police.

A man broke into a home and stole several electronic items Jan. 4 from a Florissant home, police said.

Deandre McClelland, 20, of the 1000 block of Derhake Road in Florissant, was charged Thursday with second-degree burglary and felony theft.

Florissant Police said McClelland and others broke into a home in the 400 block of Countryside Drive in Florissant between 8:30 p.m. Jan. 4 and 2 a.m. Jan. 5.

They stole a desktop computer, a laptop computer, a digital camera and 200 mm lens, a PlayStation 3, a PlayStation 2, three video games, a camcorder and a Nintendo game system, police said.

The stolen properties’ value was estimated at more than $5,000.

McClelland was being held in St. Louis County jail on Friday. Bail was set at $25,000.
