Man Charged With Sodomizing Child in Ferguson 20 Years Ago
Ferguson Police said Pedro Alvarez Castillo had sex with an 11-year-old sometime between November 1992 and March 1993.
A man is being charged with having sex with an 11-year-old more than 20 years ago in Ferguson.
St. Louis County prosecutors said Pedro Castillo, 62, of the 3100 block of Iowa Avenue in St. Louis, was charged Friday with sodomy.
Ferguson Police said Castillo had sex with an 11-year-old between Nov. 1, 1992 and March 21, 1993.

The statute of limitations was 10 years when the incident occurred, but the statute had been extended several times. The statute of limitations now states the victim has 30 years after reaching 18 years of age to file a case. In this case, the statute of limitations now is 2029.
Castillo is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $100,000.
