Man Charged With Grocery Store Robbery on Old Halls Ferry

Police arrested the man shortly after the robbery at Shop 'n Save, according to court documents.

A man faces criminal charges after Ferguson Police said he robbed the Shop β€˜n Save on Old Halls Ferry Road Thursday.

Police said Cedric V. Ramsey, 32, of the 600 block of Cheltenham Road in Black Jack, said a cashier was checking out when Ramsey came up behind her and said, β€œGive me the (expletive) money.”

The cashier told police that he pressed something that might have been a handgun against her back. She gave him all the cash in her drawer, totaling $349.

Ferguson Police said Ramsey had the money when he was arrested shortly after the robbery.

Ramsey was charged Friday with first-degree robbery. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000, cash-only bond.
