Man Charged with Breaking into Florissant Home, Assaulting Woman

Florissant Police said the victim was home when the man broke a window to get into her home.

A man was charged Thursday with breaking into a Florissant home and attacking a woman.

Ryan O. Holiday, 19, is charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault after police said he broke into a home in the 300 block of St. Edward Lane.

said in a report the victim was home when she heard glass breaking and saw Holiday reach inside a broken window to unlock the door. The woman fled to a bedroom and put her daughter under the bed. Police said Holiday went other rooms before entering the bedroom and going through items on the dresser.

Police said in the report that when Holiday saw the woman lying on the floor next to her daughter, he jumped on her and began struggling with her. During the struggle, the woman’s iPad fell out of his backpack, according to the report. He then got up and ran out of the house.

Bond for Holiday was set at $100,000.
