Man Charged In Shooting of North County Barbershop Owner

The shooting victim is in critical condition at a local hospital.

A St. Louis man was charged with Monday’s shooting of a 53-year-old owner of 3one4 Barbershop in unincorporated North County.

Terrence E. Clark, 28, of the 3100 block of Rauschenbach in St. Louis, was charged Tuesday with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

St. Louis County Police officers responded to the shooting at 12:46 p.m. Monday, and received information that a white Malibu was leaving the scene.

Officers spotted the car and pursued it to the 3500 of Cora Drive in the city of St. Louis.

Police said Clark left the car and fled on foot, leading officers in a brief foot chase before he was caught and arrested.

The gunshot victim, the 53-year-old owner of the barbershop, was last known to be in critical condition at DePaul Hospital.

Clark is being held in St. Louis County Justice Center in lieu of a $100,000, cash-only bond.
