Man Burglarizes Car Dealer, Steals Employee's Car, Police Say

Florissant Police said Joseph James Hurst burglarized Johnny Londoff Chevrolet, stole cash and worker's 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.

A Florissant man is charged with stealing a car from the Johnny Londoff Chevrolet lot. The car belonged to an employee at the dealership.

Joseph James Hurst, 27, of the 2100 block of Argo Drive in Florissant, was charged Friday with second-degree burglary, stealing a motor vehicle and misdemeanor theft.

Florissant Police said Hurst entered the dealership sometime between 6 p.m. Aug. 16 and 6 a.m. Aug. 17, took $182 cash, a set of keys and a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze that was left overnight at the dealership by an employee.

Hurst is being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $25,000.
