Injured Florissant Police Officer Speaks Out at Recent Concert
Officer Mike Vernon, who was shot in the line of duty on Memorial Day, addressed a crowd last weekend in one of few public appearances.
Officer Mike Vernon spoke and thanked a concert crowd Saturday night in Florissant, according to the Independent News.
The Butch Wax and the Hollywoods concert was one of few public appearances he’s made this summer.
“I don’t like to speak in front of large crowds,” Vernon said, “but if there is one large crowd it would be the city of Florissant. You guys have gone above and beyond. I start every day and end every day with ‘Thank You’.”
