You’ve probably never heard of a fundraiser like this one. Thompson is hosting a wrap-a-thon, AKA “skinny wrap” party, at her Hazelwood salon Monday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.

“I’m donating all proceeds to Officer Vernon,” she said. “And I’m wrapping people for just the $25.”

Everyone is welcome to participate, she added.

What are Skinny Wraps, Anyway?

They're not the traditional "head-to-toe" wraps that make you look like a mummy. Skinny wraps allow you to target the areas you want, but not the ones you don't.

They're placed on the skin in only areas you’d like to tone and tighten. After about 45 minutes, they are removed and the left-over lotion is rubbed into the skin. In most cases, Thompson said, her clients lose inches in that first 45 minutes—and then it continues to work for about three days afterward.

“They really do tighten, tone and firm in 45 minutes,” Thompson said. “The wraps can be used on the stomach, arms, legs and neck; and the wraps will be done in a private room.”

If you have questions about the fundraiser, call the salon at 314-731-0135 and ask for Lisa.
