Florissant Police Blotter: Stereo Equipment, Sunglasses Stolen Last Week

Several burglaries and cases of stealing happened last week.

April 17

Two men and a woman stole eight pairs of Ray Ban sunglasses from the Grandview Plaza area. After exiting the store, the group left in a 2011 Kia Optima and was last seen on westbound Dunn Road.

Police responded to a first-degree burglary in the 800 block of St. Ferdinand. The resident woke up and found the burglar leaving the basement with items. The resident described the suspect as a 19-20 year old man, wearing a red polo shirt.

A first-degree burglary occurred in the 200 block of St. Denis. The resident interrupted the burglary in progress when she returned home. According to the report, she described the burglar as a man when confronted.

A second-degree burglary occurred in the 3800 block of Thistledown. The resident returned home to find the door standing open and residence in disorder. According to the report, nothing was taken and no forced entry found.

Someone stole $750 in stereo equipment and an iPod from a car in the 2700 block of North Highway 67.

Three cars, including a St. Louis City police officer’s, were broken into in the 13000 block of New Halls Ferry. Someone stole a navigation system, a stereo and a duty bag belonging to the police officer. No guns or badges were in the officer’s bag.

April 19

Someone stole a 2004 silver Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 1000 block of Charbonier. According to the report, a semi-automatic pistol was in the Jeep’s glovebox.

A first-degree robbery took place in the 3500 block of Patterson Road when two men entered a business. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, one of the men jumped over the counter and took all of the bills. The clerk identified one of the suspects, according to the report, but the investigation is ongoing.
