Florissant Police Blotter

Several burglaries, a robbery and a couple of thefts took place in the Florissant area last week.

July 13

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 2700 block of Monfort. The thieves entered the apartment through a rear glass patio door. At the time of publication, it’s not known what was taken from the residence.

A motor vehicle theft occurred in the 3200 block of Cross Keys Dr. The thief stole a 2006 white Dodge Stratus. Police didn’t have any suspects at the time of publication.

July 15

A second-degree burglary attempt occurred in the 1500 block of Starling. The thief entered the home through an unlocked garage door, but the attempt to force open an interior door was unsuccessful. The thief could not enter the home, according to the report. Police didn’t have a suspect at the time of publication.

July 16

Police responded to an attempted second-degree burglary in the 1900 block of Flamingo. The thief pried open the inner garage door of a residence but was unable to gain entry into the residence.

Police have begun the search for the people involved in a first-degree robbery in the 3300 block of Parker Spur. Two robbers, described as a man and a woman, entered a store and robbed a clerk at gunpoint around 10:14 p.m. No one was harmed. In the report, police have been searching for a red car, with the possibility of it being a Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix.

July 17

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 8400 block of Lindbergh Blvd. North. Two men broke into the business through a window at 2:20 a.m. According to the report, thieves stole cigarettes, cigars and other tobacco products.

Burglars broke into a vacant house in the 1000 block of South Waterford. According to the report, police found the thieves broke in through the front door and took copper tubing. It’s classified as a second-degree burglary.

During a traffic stop, a Florissant officer was able to recover a stolen motorcycle. The officer stopped the driver for an expired license plate. He discovered that the motorcycle had been reported stolen from Belleville, IL. The motorcyclist was then arrested for first-degree tampering. The name of the suspect has not been released.
