Burglaries continue to plague neighborhoods and vacant homes.

Nov. 13

A second-degree burglary took place in the 400 block of Ryan Drive. According to the report, the thief or thieves entered by forcing open the front door. The victim reported a laptop taken.Β 

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 2400 block of Blue Heron Drive. A teenage male entered the residence through an unlocked back door. The resident interrupted the burglar upon returning home and the burglar escaped.Β

Nov. 14

Police responded to a motor vehicle theft in the 1100 block of Dunn Road. A gold 2003 Jeep Liberty was stolen during the weekend.

Nov. 15

A first-degree burglary took place in the 1800 block of Nottinghill Row. A man forced open a door and entered the apartment overnight. The resident reported a purse and laptop stolen. The intruder was described as a man who stood between 5 foot, 9 inches and 5 foot, 10 inches tall.

Nov. 16

Police responded to two second-degree burglaries in the approximate vicinity to one another. In the 500 block of North St. Jacques Street, the thief forced open the front door to enter and stole jewelry, according to the report. The incident happened between 10 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. In the 1900 block of St. Louis, someone entered through a side door and stole jewelry and cash. It occurred between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.Β 

Nov. 17

Someone entered a vacant residence in the 3100 block of Long Champs Drive. Police responded to the residence where major appliances had been taken. No forced entry was evident, according to the police report.

A second-degree burglary took place in the 600 block of Shadow Rock Drive at a vacant residence. Police found that copper pipes had been stolen.

Nov. 18

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 3000 block of Country Green Court. Someone forced open the front door of an apartment. Nothing was reported missing at the time of the report. According to the report, one witness saw three men in the area at the time of the incident and described one in a black jumpsuit and two others in dark hoodies.

A second-degree burglary took place in the 1800 block of Balmoral Drive. Someone entered the vacant residence through the rear patio door. Nothing was found missing at the time of the report.
