Two crimes highlight the Fourth of July holiday.

July 3

Police responded to the report of a motor vehicle theft in the 1500 block of Summerun. A thief stole a silver 2003 Chrysler Sebring shortly after midnight. The police department has announced no suspects.

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 3000 block of Santiago. A thief forced open an apartment door and stole a video game system. 

A second-degree burglary took place in the 2300 block of Buttonwood Court. The burglar forced open the rear door and stole a handgun, jewelry and a digital camera. No suspects have been announced in the case.
