As weather warms up a bit, criminals get a little active in the city.

March 23 

Police responded to a motor vehicle theft in the 800 block of Derhake. The owner of the car left it unattended while warming up. Police have not announced any warrants in relation to this crime.

A second-degree burglary took place in the 1000 block of St. Ferdinand. According to the police report, entry into the residence could have been gained through a bedroom window that was unlocked. Thieves stole a flat screen TV. Police haven’t announced any warrants.

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 3500 block of Dwyer. A neighbor alerted police that they noticed a strange person walking between houses in the area. Upon arrival, police found a residence had been robbed. Police found a 17-year-old suspect nearby and arrested him. No warrants have been issued at time of publication.
