Cast-Iron Skillet Attack Hospitalizes Victim, Lands Ferguson Man in Hot Water

A Ferguson man faces charges after striking another man several times with a cast-iron skillet, seriously injuring him, police said.
Ferguson Police said Charles Doyle, 47, struck another man multiple times with the frying pan May 27 at Doyle’s home in the 100 block of Fenwick Drive in Ferguson.
The man had cuts on his face, a swollen eye, a swollen lip and missing teeth, police said. He received stitches and was being evaluated for a concussion as police took his complaint.
Doyle was charged Tuesday with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
Doyle is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $75,000, and Doyle is to have no contact with the victim.
