Calverton Park Man Charged With Hitting, Choking Girlfriend

A Calverton Park man faces criminal charges after St. Louis County Police said he hit and choked his girlfriend Dec. 7 in North County.

Emmanuel Keith Ray, 21, of the first block of White Drive in Calverton Park, was charged Friday with second-degree domestic assault.

St. Louis County Police said Ray and his girlfriend were arguing when he began hitting and choking her Dec. 7 at 11905 New Halls Ferry Road in unincorporated North County. The area is near the West Florissant Avenue intersection.

Ray was being held Tuesday in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $15,000.
