Ferguson-Florissant Names Three New Administrators for 2014-2015 School Year

The Ferguson-Florissant School District has named the following new administrator positions for the 2014-2015 school year:

Dr. Adrienne Bland has been approved by the Board of Education as the District's Director of Elementary Education. In this position, Dr. Bland will oversee the operation of the District's 17 elementary schools and serve as a member of Ferguson-Florissant's academic leadership team. Dr. Bland has served the Ferguson-Florissant School District since 2003 as principal of Combs Elementary, prior to being named Acting Director of Elementary Education during the 2013-2014 school year.  Dr. Bland previously worked in the Affton School District as an assistant principal and taught students in the Rockwood and University City School Districts.  She received her Doctorate in Education and Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration from Lindenwood University.  

Mr. Steven Lawler has been approved by the Board of Education as Principal of McCluer South-Berkeley High School. Mr. Lawler has served as Berkeley Middle School principal since 2009, where he was instrumental in leading school improvement initiatives which have brought Berkeley Middle School into the forefront of school reform. Prior to serving at Berkeley Middle School, Mr. Lawler served as a principal in the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District and as an assistant principal in the Ritenour School District. He has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and is currently working on his Specialist Degree.

Dr. Ingrid McClendon has been approved by the Board of Education as Principal of Airport Elementary. Dr. McClendon most recently served as a reading teacher at McCluer South-Berkeley High School and taught reading in the Ferguson-Florissant School District since 2000 in various locations. She received her Doctorate in Education and Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Lindenwood University.
