What Do You See When You Look in the Mirror?

You look in the mirror whether it is morning, noon or night. But what do you see? Do you see every wrinkle, gray hair and imperfection of your face, or do you see what Jesus sees?

We live in a world that is all about looks.

We see women on TV that wear a size 2, have perfect makeup, have perfect hair and don the best clothes and seem perfect.

What do we "average Americans" see when we look in the mirror?

I guess for me it depends on the day. Some days I have a great hair day, makeup looks good, the lighting is right in the room I am in, so I am OK. Other days, not so good.

The older I get, the more I am learning that beauty fades. I want to be remembered for loving the unloving and treating people like I want to be treated.  Jesus thinks I am perfect. Yes, I have many flaws, but he looks at my heart and knows that everyday I try in his strength to be the best that I can be.

I think when we stop looking at our flaws, and put our minds on things above what other people see, we feel more beautiful on the inside and outside.  I want people to see less of me and more of Jesus.
