Jim Fischer of Fischer’s Honored in Florissant on Tuesday

Fischer will be the 15th City of Florissant 'Walk Through History' dedication on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at noon. Fischer died last year at the age of 88.

A plaque dedication will occur at the corner of rue St. Francois and rue St. Jean.  The city of Florissant, along with VFW Post 4105 and the Florissant Rotary Club, will host the dedication.

Fischer served as flight engineer on a B-17 crew during World War II.  He was also a past-president of the Florissant Rotary. As well, he served as the Rotary District Governor.  He was active on many local boards and had a strong passion for the business community in Florissant and the people that lived here, according to the City of Florissant.
