Florissant Schnucks Gives Back $261,517 to Public Education

The money goes towards programs including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri and more.

The Florissant Schnucks, located at 74 Grandview Plaza Shopping Center, is  now part of the Missouri Lottery Million Dollar Club.

It consists of a group of 33 retailers, according to a Missouri Lottery statement. In order to be considered a part, the business has to sell more than $1 million in Lottery products.

“The real winner is public education,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “Lottery sales at this Schnucks Market alone generated more than $261,517 for public education in calendar year 2012.”

The club raises money for public school programs including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.
