North County Citizen Police Academy

The St. Louis County Police Department North County Precinct will host a Citizen Police Academy at the Black Jack Fire Protection District House, 5675 North Highway 67, Florissant, Missouri 63034. The classes will be held on seven consecutive Tuesdays, beginning on March 5, 2013, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with graduation on April 16, 2013.

Chief of Police Timothy Fitch stated, "The Citizens Police Academy creates the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the officers who serve and protect your community. Participants learn about what steps they can take to avoid becoming the victim of a crime and they get an inside look at how the County Police Department operates. Classes are instructed by law enforcement professionals in various fields."

The Citizens Police Academy is open to all St. Louis County residents and is free of charge. Advanced registration is required and seating is limited. To obtain a registration form or other details, contact North County Precinct Officer Yvette Summy at ysummy@stlouisco.com or 314-438-4623.
