ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

Richard Renner, The Vodvill Klown
Actor, juggler, orangutan, poet and fool all describe Richard Renner as he performs his special brand of humor. Whether juggling, stilt-walking, unicycling, ropewalking or creating a zany improvisation, Renner performs with unbounded energy and skill. While roving, he creates an excitement and visual spectacle hard to forget. His performances are marked with laughter, smiles and participation as he uses all he has learned to make us laugh and discover the love of laughter in us all.

Luna Breeze - Hula Hoop Artist
This hula hoop variety act is one of a kind, including elements of performance, crowd participation and grace all in one complete package. Luna Breeze puts on a display that is jam-packed with high energy hula-hoop tricks incorporating arm balancing, headstands, foot hooping, multi-circus hoops and more. In-between shows she will be teaching hula hoop lessons to old and young. Everyone will get a chance to play.

Experience the Magic! With R W Magic
R W Magic is an accomplished practitioner in the art of magic; he will amaze, astonish and entertain audiences of all ages with his intimate magic show. “Experience the Magic!” with RW Magic, a gregarious entertainer, who has enthralled thousands throughout the country with his close-up magic.

"Babaloo" Music and Fun
“Babalooing” is best described as a stand-up comedy act for kids.  A “Babaloo” show is a raucous, fast-paced, high-energy event, involving original songs, slapstick, one-liners and loads of audience participation with kids (and parents) singing, dancing, throwing bean bags, beating on buckets, and laughing – lots of laughing. Children are kept happy with funny, irreverent songs; they will also sing uplifting songs dealing with sharing, acceptance, and character issues. Every show is different and tailored to the particular audience.

Jamie Adkins Presents: Circus Incognitus
As a natural clown, Jamie’s failures often end up being his greatest successes. His clowning and acrobatic feats on the ground and on a slack wire are brought to life in a story of a man who has something to say, but can’t quite get it out. Beginning with an empty stage and a single microphone, a shy Jamie Adkins musters the courage to face what he fears most, speaking in public. Throughout the next hour Jamie creates the show around him using everyday objects to perform circus routines and even building the set with discarded props to create the backdrop for his humble idea of what a show should be. Each step of the show is fraught with new challenges, but for every problem there is a solution.

Alex DePue World Music Duo
A chance meeting south of the border in the Baja coastal town of La Mision melded the talents of two stellar musicians known for their fiery performances. Alex DePue began taking classical violin lessons at age 5, he was drawn to fiddling at age seven and by the age of 12, he was competing in old-time fiddle contests.  He has been ranked among the top 10 fiddlers in the nation at the Grand Masters Fiddling Championship (Nashville, TN). Alex DePue has produced his own CD, toured with legendary rock guitarist Steve Vai and you can even find him on YouTube.  Miguel de Hoyos is a professional guitarist and vocalist and a native of Monterrey, Mexico. Starting his early music training under the tutelage of his father, he continued his studies with some of Mexico’s finest instructors.  Miguel’s own neo-classical style lends itself to everything from Beatles to the classics.

The Comedy Ventriloquism of Lynn Trefzger
Lynn Trefzger is a ventriloquist/comedienne with a trunk full of zany characters that have accompanied her to stages throughout the country.  Her off-the-wall audience interplay is riotously funny, and Lynn’s performances are tailored to family audiences. The Society of Magicians Convention says, “A beauty with amazing vocal talents and a first-rate wit,  she scored her biggest hit by bringing three audience members on stage and throwing voices into them…a first-rate entertainer!”

Rhythmic Circus: Feet Don't Fail Me Now!
Rhythmic Circus has quickly risen from an underground percussive-dance phenomenon to an innovative live performance company known for transforming their tap shoes into instruments of rhythm. The Minneapolis Star Tribune put it well when they called the dance troupe “Flat out amazing!” Infusing their unpredictable blend of hard-hitting tap, high-spirited humor, and finger-snapping tunes, Rhythmic Circus satisfies their “rhythmic appetite” on everything from sand to folding chairs, and in one number even utilizes the technology of electric drum triggers to change the sound of their taps!

Kincaid Karacter Puppets presents "Punch and Judy"
The Kincaid Karacter Puppets tour live nationally and present fast-paced, family oriented puppet shows featuring slapstick comedy, classic one liners, audience participation and plenty of thrills and surprises, all presented and performed in a style and manner reminiscent of the classic festival performances of the 1800s.

The Farnum Family
Based out of Southwest Missouri, Norm and Trish Farnum have performed in the Branson area and around the country for many years.  Their blend of bluegrass, gospel, old-time and western music has delighted audiences everywhere.  Their three older children regularly perform with them on upright bass, mandolin, guitar, harmonica and fiddle. The three younger siblings can be seen on stage playing the washboard and fiddle too.

Hispanic Festival Inc. presents: LA’TINOS
After the “main events” wind down, stick around for a special performance in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
