Two Men Charged in Patterson Road Burglaries in Florissant

Florissant Police said Cody Garcia-Mauer broke into the Convenience One store Jan. 4 and Arlondo Whitfield joined him in a residential break-in later the same day.

Two men face burglary charges related to thefts along Patterson Road in Florissant.

Cody Garcia-Mauer, 18, of the 2100 block of Crane Drive in Florissant, was charged April 8 with two counts each of second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft.

Arlondo L. Whitfield, 18, of the 6300 block of Hancock Avenue in Berkeley, was charged April 11 with second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft.

Florissant Police said Garcia-Mauer and Whitfield broke into a home in the 400 block of Patterson Rd., Jan. 4 and stole a bottle of liquor, a 12-pack of beer, a drill and a camera.

According to court documents, Florissant Police found most of the property at Whitfield’s home in Berkeley. Whitfield told police he gave some items to his sister to pawn for him, according to the police report.

Garcia-Mauer also is accused of breaking into the Convenience One store at 22 Patterson Plaza after store hours between 3:45 a.m. and 4:08 a.m. Jan. 4 and stealing a bottle of tequila and a 12-pack of beer.

Garcia-Mauer previously was charged with acting as a lookout in a burglary on Crane Drive March 15.

Whitfield and Garcia-Mauer are being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $20,000 each for the Jan. 4 burglary and theft charges.
