More than 9,000 Without Power in Florissant
Ameren shows power outages throughout St. Louis County, and one Facebook user reports a downed tree.

An early afternoon storm on Monday left a few problems throughout the Florissant area.
Ameren Missouri shows more than 9,000 residential and business power outages throughout the city as of 1:30 p.m.

The branch has shut down for the rest of the day due to a power outage there.
Kimberly Stokes Obrock wrote on the Florissant Patch Facebook page that a big tree is down at the intersection of Parker and New Florissant Road.

Sgt. Kevin Boschert of the said they've had few problems and reports with the exception of limbs and power outages.
Boschert said that the traffic signal at Lindbergh and St. Ferdinand was out, but he could not confirm if power had been restored.
Boschert urged residents to stay away from downed power lines and call the police at 314-831-7000 if spotted in your area.
The National Weather Service reported a severe thunderstorm in the St. Louis area with hail and winds up to 60 miles per hour. The area remains under watch until 6 p.m.
