Monica Wilson Crowned 2012 Valley of Flowers Queen

The Incarnate Word Academy junior beat out 13 girls for the position.

Under the pavilion, the 50th Valley of Flowers queen was announced and crowned to an ecstatic crowd.

Mayor Tom Schneider crowned Monica Wilson, a junior at Incarnate Word Academy, the queen of the 50th annual festival. She was sponsored by

Wilson was crowned in front of the 2012 court as well as 17 previous Valley of Flowers queens.

After receiving her crown, she thanked her sponsor and parents and she said she’s excited to serve during the upcoming year and to represent Florissant.

The first runner-up for the court was Courtney Brooks of McCluer North High School. She was sponsored by North County Churches Uniting for Racial Harmony and Justice.
