5 Ways to Celebrate Spring in Florissant

March 20 marks the first day of spring. Check out five great ways to celebrate.

1. Participate in the Confluence Trash Bash: Put on your rain boots and plan to enjoy the outdoors while helping clean up Ferdinand Park from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 23. Register online here.

2. Dine Outside. Take advantage of warmer weather and choose to eat out on the patio when given the opportunity. Something about eating outside makes the food taste better. These restaurants have outdoor dining options available: De.Lish Cheesecake Bakery, Hendel's Market Cafe, Deaver's Restaurant and Sports Bar, DeLeo's Deli, Vincenzo's, Whistle Stop and more.

3. Lace Up Your Running Shoes: Sign up for an upcoming race as motivation to get out and exercise a little more often. The Ferguson Twilight 5k/10k and Fun Run will be at 5 p.m. May 18 at Plaza at 501. Post-race activities include a free live concert, vendors and specials at local restaurants. Sign up here
