5 Things to Know for the Valley of Flowers Festival

We're giving you some highlights featured at today's festival.

Florissant Patch highlights five things we think you should know before you head out to the 2013 Valley of Flowers Festival.

  1. The forecast, according to the National Weather Service, shows showers throughout the day and continuing into the night with a high of 53 degrees.
  2. The event officially kicks off at noon with the food court, flea market and craft fair, and plant sale getting started at the James J. Eagan Center. The Knights of Columbus grounds opens at 4 p.m.
  3. If the rain does hold off, McCluer and McCluer North will play its baseball game at 7 p.m. at Koch Park, Field 1.
  4. Don’t forget that an adult must accompany minors at the Knights of Columbus grounds at all times. Friday night only all rides will be one ticket.
  5. You can always upload your photos or video of the festival in our pics and clips gallery. Your photo could be featured in a collection of photos on the site.
