The chamber is accepting scholarship applications and celebrates a new community member.

Florissant has a lot going on within the community, and our chamber is no exception.

  • The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce has begun accepting applications for its annual scholarship program. Five $1,000 scholarships will be given to high school seniors in the Greater North County area. The deadline is Feb. 17 at noon. Applications can be picked up at local high schools, the chamber’s office or online. More than $35,000 has been awarded to area seniors.   • The Bridge at Florissant hosted an open house with a number of Florissant city officials and chamber members. Visitors were treated to appetizers, entertainment and a tour of the new facility. The Bridge offers 100 full-service assisted apartments and 10 independent living homes.
  • Ameren Missouri donated a 22,000-square-foot parcel of land to southeast of its current Hazelwood facility. The parcel will allow for a second entrance on McDonnell Boulevard and provide a better flow of traffic and greater safety for Valley Industries employees. St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley as well as chamber members attended the presentation.
