‘Shop Chamber First,’ Win a Kindle Fire

In an effort to get local people buying from locally-owned businesses, the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce has the competition all month.

Would you like to win a Kindle Fire HD tablet? It's pretty easy to try throughout the month of October because consumers who "Shop Chamber First’" have an opportunity to win one on November 15.

The drawing is part of an awareness campaign the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce and Christian Hospital launched in July.

“The purpose of this drawing, as well as the campaign itself, is to heighten awareness among area residents and consumers about the great breadth and scope of businesses that are available to shoppers in our North County community,” said Carolyn Marty, president of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce, in a statement. “Our membership base has grown 40 percent since 2010,” added Marty. “We want North County residents to know about the many wonderful businesses and civic organizations that are located right here in our own area.”
