Restaurant Report: Inspector Checks Florissant Pizza Joint for Roaches

Also a North County restaurant gets checked following the May 31 storm.

Imo’s Pizza

Comments: Customer complained that he found roaches in salad and pizza ordered on June 7. A health inspector spoke to the owner and found that the owner regularly treats for pests with store-bought methods. The health department has received a number of complaints in regards to pests at this restaurant, and inspector said that the owner must have the establishment professionally treated. The inspector will follow-up on June 21 for a receipt of treatment.  

O’Charley’s  
Address: 13971 New Halls Ferry Rd., Florissant
Date of Inspection: June 3
Type of Inspection: Routine
Risk Factor: 3
Grade: 100-A
Comments: Inspector came by while restaurant was without power. Restaurant without power for six hours on May 31. Manager had products moved from coolers into walk-in unit coolers. Door sweep replaced; employees taken off schedule due to no proof of Hepatitis A records.

Mallinckrodt (Cafe)
Address: 765 James McDonnell Blvd., Hazelwood
Date of Inspection: April 17
Type of Inspection: Routine

Comments: Raw meat stored next to ready-to-eat food; clean pans stored on floor; inspector noticed employees not washing hands in-between tasks; no thermometers found in reach-in coolers.
