Restaurant Inspections: Qdoba Checked Out for Smelly Tea

Also, Papa John's gets inspected for complaint against its pizza.

We’re changing up our restaurant inspections a tad bit.

We've expanded our inspections to surrounding areas, including Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights and Hazelwood.

Papa John’s Pizza
Address: 12735 New Halls Ferry Rd., Florissant
Date of Inspection: Sept. 25
Type of Inspection: Complaint
Risk Factor: 2
Grade: 100-A
Comments: Complainant ate chicken pizza along with others and all became ill. Inspector spoke to general manager and said no other complaints had been received. Manager also said no employees were sick. Inspector looked at temperatures of toppings and found all to be satisfactory.

Qdoba Mexican Grill
Address: 14039 New Halls Ferry Rd., Florissant
Date of Inspection: Sept. 25
Type of Inspection: Complaint
Risk Factor: 3
Grade: 100-A
Comments: Complainant said that tea smelled bad at the restaurant. Inspector came into check the tea, and it looked and smelled fine. The inspector spoke to manager, and he said the machine is cleaned and up-to-date in repairs and maintenance.

Lulu’s Local Eatery
Address: 21 Village Square Shopping Center, Hazelwood

Comments: Serving window and door is not self-closing; food items not stored in original container but not labeled.
