New Restaurant: Dog Town Opens in Florissant

The establishment opens in the former White Barn Hamburgers space.

While might have left Florissant, a new tenant has now taken up residence in the small outlot building.

Dog Town, 2182 N. Highway 67, opened its business last Monday for residents.

In looking at the menu, the new estalishment prides itself on their “all beef hot dogs are deep fried then grilled to perfection,” according to its signage.

They serve a number of offerings such as the Memphis Dog, St. Louis Dog, New York Dog and a Coney Island Dog but also offer sides such as fries and beans and deep fried oreos and twinkies as desserts.

Phone calls and messages left with the owner were not returned.

Dog Town is open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Oh, this menu is frightening. We like to dine out but don't do so often because there aren't many healthy options. Guess we'll keep to St. Louis Bread Co for our dining out options.

It's a hotdog joint. I don't think its supposed to be that healthy. First, they are made with all beef dogs and that's better than the regular grind-whatever-up dogs. Second, I can't believe you compared Dog Town to St. Louis Bread Co. I guess when you want to pig out you'll settle for the Olive Garden. White Barn Burgers was just as sloppy a chili dog and a lot of people will eat both. Mr. JB, next time wait at least two minutes before you "Agreed" again on another story.

I believe as mature adults of some intelligence we can decide for ourselves what to eat. Just as you wouldn't go there because you are health conscious you wouldn't go there for fine dining. You would go because you want a really good hotdog. If they aren't good that would be the comparison you would make.

I think choice is a key word here. I would like to try a deep fried Twinkie and a hot dog with all the fixin's, but would not make it a daily meal. Eat healthy most time, but don't get gruesome about it. Split one with a friend and you will only be half naughty. BFD, just listen to your bod, enjoy life and give yourself a break once in a while.

I was disappointed as I though it was a dine in spot... I got the Chicago dog and it was good not amazing but good. My hubby got the El Paso dog and did not like it at all. He said the cheese tasted very cheap and the look was not inviting.. Not sure if we will go back.. IT IS A DRIVE THROUGH ONLY LOCATION! In the old Rally's bldg in same parking lot as the post office on Lindbergh.

I got the Miami dog, fries, the deep fried oreos (never had them before), & a soda. The wait was very long, and when I did finally get my food, the fries were ice cold. When I took the fries back, I was offered more oreos or a deep fried twinkie,, which I declined. I waited an additional 14 minutes for hot fries. I will not be returning. Bring back White Barn.
