Michael's Set to Open April 7 in Value City Redevelopment

The grand opening celebration will mark the last store opening of the Value City redevelopment.

For those excited for the final store opening of the Value City redevelopment on Lindbergh, it’s almost time to open the last one.

Michael’s will be opening its new Florissant location at 2431 N. Highway 67 on April 7. The store moves from its former location just down the street, 745 N. US Highway 67.

The store’s opening will complete the redevelopment of a former Value City store into a new storefront plaza, which boasts Ulta Beauty, Ashley Furniture Homestore, PetCo and five Below, which all opened at the end of last year.

The store will be giving away $1,000 in gift cards and prizes every hour on opening day.

“We hope everyone will come out to help us celebrate during our grand opening festivities on April 7,” store manager Justin Ebert said in a news release. “Our new store features thousands of products that will inspire every crafter at any level from beginner to expert, plus classes for our customers to learn new skills in painting, cake decorating, knitting, scrapbooking and more.”

The new store also boasts wider aisles and brighter lighting.

The store’s ribbon cutting will happen at 9:45 a.m., followed by the doors opening at 10 a.m.
